Owner and Therapist

I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to help individuals grow and change.  My role as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive space for you and I to work together on the goals that you bring, and I recognize that the knowledge you bring of your own life and experiences is just as important as the perspective and experience that I bring as your therapist.  As a therapist, my style is both direct and compassionate, and I truly believe that our work together is a partnership that requires both of us in order for meaningful change to take place!

I have worked in a variety of roles and settings within the mental health field, holding both direct care and leadership roles. I currently provide therapy for individuals and families, supporting them with a range of mental health concerns. Clinically, I have an expertise in the field of eating disorders, and have focused extensively on treating patients and their families in both outpatient and higher levels of care (including residential and hospital-based treatment) as well as on training and supervising other clinicians in this work.

In addition to the treatment of eating disorders, I focus on women’s mental health and wellness, working with women throughout the lifespan on a variety of challenges and concerns.  I also have experience and enjoy working with other clinicians and health care professionals, both in therapy and in supervision.

I am based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and am married with two fantastic kiddos. I love a good movie night, trying new recipes, and spending time with family!
